Terms of Service
Write 2 Heal
The care and conditions of our shared space.
These Terms govern your use of thewrite2heal.com and everything offered through it — surveys, resources, events, products, coaching, and future community features.
Effective date: Upon publication
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Welcome
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thewrite2heal.com and the surveys, forms, resources, events, products, services, coaching experiences, workshops, and future community features offered through it (collectively, the "Services").
The Services are provided by Write 2 Heal, operated by founder Roslyn Thompson ("Write 2 Heal," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms to use the survey, coaching, community, purchasing, and event-registration features. By using those features, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
If you use the Services on behalf of a business, nonprofit, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. What Write 2 Heal provides
Write 2 Heal may offer:
- expressive-writing prompts and experiences;
- guided affirmations and educational wellness resources;
- personal-growth and reflection coaching;
- workshops, speaking engagements, events, and support groups;
- market-research surveys;
- interest lists and community-development opportunities;
- merchandise and digital products; and
- moderated online community features.
Specific Services may have additional descriptions, schedules, prices, policies, consent forms, or participation guidelines. Those additional terms become part of these Terms when you register, book, purchase, or participate.
We may add, modify, pause, or discontinue a Service. We do not guarantee that every proposed community feature, product, or service described in a survey or interest form will be launched.
3. Write 2 Heal is not medical care or emergency support
Write 2 Heal provides community support, coaching, writing experiences, and educational wellness resources. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Write 2 Heal and Roslyn Thompson are not acting as your physician, therapist, psychiatrist, psychologist, addiction-treatment provider, attorney, or emergency responder.
The Services:
- do not provide medical or mental-health diagnosis or treatment;
- do not replace therapy, counseling, medical care, medication management, licensed substance-use treatment, detoxification, rehabilitation, or emergency services;
- do not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or other licensed clinical relationship;
- are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional familiar with your circumstances; and
- do not guarantee healing, recovery, sobriety, symptom improvement, or any particular result.
Writing about personal experiences can bring up strong emotions. You decide what to share and may pause or stop participating. If a prompt, discussion, event, or activity feels overwhelming, stop and seek support from an appropriate licensed or qualified professional.
Crisis support
Write 2 Heal does not monitor the Website or messages continuously and cannot provide crisis intervention.
If you are in the United States and need immediate emotional support, call or text 988 or visit 988lifeline.org to chat with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or local emergency services. If you are outside the United States, contact your local emergency number or crisis service.
Do not use a Website form, email, community post, coaching message, or social-media message to request emergency assistance.
4. Voluntary survey participation
The Write 2 Heal survey is voluntary market research intended to help shape future community features, safeguards, resources, services, events, and products.
Except for age confirmation and voluntary consent, you may skip a question or stop at any time. You are not required to describe a traumatic event. Survey participation does not enroll you in therapy, treatment, coaching, a recovery program, or a research study governed by a medical institution.
The Website is designed to store optional email-list information separately from survey answers. Please review the Privacy Policy before participating.
5. Accounts and access
If accounts or member features are introduced, you agree to:
- provide accurate information where required;
- keep your login credentials confidential;
- use only your own account;
- promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access; and
- remain responsible for activity conducted through your account, except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable security.
You may not sell, transfer, impersonate, or misuse an account. We may require a nickname rather than a legal name for some community features and may offer different privacy settings.
6. Community care and acceptable use
Write 2 Heal is intended to be a supportive, judgment-free environment. When using interactive features, you agree to:
- communicate with dignity and respect;
- honor other people's privacy and boundaries;
- use content notes when requested for sensitive topics;
- avoid pressuring anyone to disclose personal experiences;
- avoid diagnosing, prescribing, or presenting personal opinions as professional treatment;
- avoid unsolicited graphic descriptions or advice;
- follow moderator instructions and posted Community Guidelines; and
- report concerning behavior through the available reporting process.
You may not:
- harass, threaten, shame, stalk, exploit, or discriminate against another person;
- encourage self-harm, suicide, violence, substance misuse, or other dangerous conduct;
- post graphic or triggering content outside designated rules or spaces;
- share another person's post, story, image, name, contact information, or identity without permission;
- take, distribute, or publish screenshots or recordings of private community content without the creator's permission;
- solicit money, recruit for unrelated programs, advertise, spam, or manipulate vulnerable participants without written authorization;
- impersonate a professional, moderator, participant, or other person;
- upload malware, scrape data, bypass security, probe the Website, or interfere with operation;
- collect participant data or use community content to train an artificial-intelligence system;
- violate another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or exploitative activity; or
- help anyone else do any of the above.
We may remove content, restrict features, suspend access, or terminate participation when we reasonably believe these Terms, Community Guidelines, safety expectations, or law have been violated. Moderation cannot prevent every harmful interaction, and the presence of moderation does not guarantee that all content is accurate, appropriate, or safe.
7. Privacy and confidentiality in community spaces
The Privacy Policy explains how Write 2 Heal handles information. You control what personal information you choose to submit, subject to required transaction or registration details.
Community participants are expected to respect confidentiality, but Write 2 Heal cannot guarantee that another participant will not copy, remember, screenshot, record, or disclose something they see or hear. Do not share information that you are not comfortable allowing the intended audience to receive.
Group sessions, community discussions, coaching, and writing activities do not create a legal privilege or professional medical confidentiality unless a separate written agreement expressly says otherwise.
8. Your content
"Your Content" means text, images, audio, video, survey comments, profile information, posts, or other material you submit.
You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant Write 2 Heal a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, and display Your Content only as reasonably necessary to:
- operate the feature you selected;
- show content to the audience allowed by your privacy settings;
- moderate and protect the community;
- respond to support or legal issues; and
- improve the technical operation of the Services.
This operational license ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, except where retention is reasonably required for backups, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement. Aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you may be retained.
We will not publish your personal story as a testimonial, promotional feature, book, campaign, or public social-media post without separate permission.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and that doing so does not violate law or another person's rights.
Feedback
If you voluntarily send suggestions about improving Write 2 Heal, we may use those suggestions without payment or obligation, provided we do not publicly identify you or publish a personal story without permission.
9. Write 2 Heal content and intellectual property
The Website and its original branding, design, text, prompts, affirmations, graphics, downloads, videos, curricula, event materials, product designs, trademarks, and other content are owned by or licensed to Write 2 Heal and are protected by applicable law.
We give you a limited, revocable, nontransferable right to access and use the Services for your personal, noncommercial use or for the organizational purpose expressly included in your purchase.
Unless we give written permission, you may not reproduce, sell, sublicense, publish, distribute, modify, remove branding from, create competing materials from, or commercially exploit Write 2 Heal content. You may download or print a resource only when the resource or purchase terms expressly allow it.
"Write 2 Heal," associated logos, slogans, program names, and product names may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement without permission.
10. Coaching, workshops, groups, and events
Participation requirements, dates, format, accessibility information, prices, cancellation terms, and refund terms will be displayed at booking or registration when applicable.
You agree to participate respectfully and follow facilitator and venue rules. We may remove a participant whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, abusive, or inconsistent with these Terms. Refund eligibility, if any, will be determined by the policy shown when the booking or registration was made and applicable law.
We may reschedule, relocate, change the format of, or cancel an event or session for safety, facilitator availability, venue issues, weather, low enrollment, technical problems, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. If Write 2 Heal cancels a paid offering without providing a reasonable substitute, the applicable booking or event policy will explain the remedy.
You are responsible for determining whether an offering is appropriate for you and for arranging any medical, therapeutic, transportation, technology, caregiving, or accessibility support you need outside what Write 2 Heal expressly agrees to provide.
11. Products, orders, shipping, and returns
Merchandise shown as "Coming Soon," "Notify Me," or "I'm Interested" is not an offer to sell and does not guarantee price, inventory, availability, design, or launch date.
When purchases become available:
- prices, product details, taxes, shipping charges, and available payment methods will be displayed before purchase;
- you agree to provide accurate billing, shipping, and contact information;
- orders may be refused or canceled for suspected fraud, pricing errors, inventory problems, legal restrictions, or inability to fulfill;
- shipping estimates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed;
- title, risk-of-loss rules, return eligibility, and refund terms will be governed by the policy shown at checkout and applicable law; and
- digital products may have separate license and refund terms disclosed before purchase.
Third-party payment, shipping, ticketing, or commerce providers may apply their own terms.
12. Fees and payments
You agree to pay the price and charges presented before you confirm a purchase, booking, or registration. Payments may be processed by a third party. Write 2 Heal does not intend to store full payment-card details.
Except where law requires otherwise or a posted policy says otherwise, fees are governed by the cancellation, refund, and return terms presented at the time of the transaction. Chargebacks or payment disputes do not eliminate obligations for services or products properly delivered.
13. Third-party resources and links
The Services may link to crisis resources, licensed-care directories, articles, social-media pages, ticketing sites, payment services, or other third-party resources. Links are provided for convenience or information. Write 2 Heal does not control and is not responsible for a third party's content, availability, advice, security, privacy, or services.
You are responsible for reviewing third-party terms and deciding whether a resource is appropriate for you. A link does not necessarily mean Write 2 Heal endorses every statement, provider, or service on the linked site.
14. Information from other participants
Personal stories, posts, comments, recommendations, and statements from participants reflect their own experiences and opinions. They are not professional advice from Write 2 Heal. Do not make medical, mental-health, legal, financial, recovery, or safety decisions solely from participant content.
15. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available access. Maintenance, security incidents, provider outages, internet failures, or other circumstances may interrupt access.
We may update features and content, correct errors, introduce reasonable limits, or discontinue parts of the Services. Where practical, we will give notice of a material change that affects a paid, scheduled Service.
16. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Write 2 Heal disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement.
We do not promise that:
- the Services will meet every person's emotional, community, or recovery needs;
- content will always be accurate, complete, current, or appropriate for every participant;
- another participant will follow every rule;
- use of the Services will produce a particular personal, health, business, or financial result; or
- the Website will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Write 2 Heal and its founder, facilitators, contractors, volunteers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity; or harm arising from reliance on participant content, third-party services, or unauthorized conduct by another user.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Write 2 Heal's total liability arising from a particular paid Service or transaction will not exceed the amount you paid Write 2 Heal for that Service or transaction during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. For a free Service, total liability will not exceed US $100.
These limits do not apply where liability cannot be limited by law, including any liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
18. Responsibility for misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your material violation of these Terms, or Your Content's violation of another person's rights. This section does not require you to indemnify Write 2 Heal for Write 2 Heal's own unlawful conduct, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
19. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. Account and data-deletion requests may be submitted as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, cancel participation, or take other reasonable action if:
- you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms or Community Guidelines;
- your conduct creates a credible safety, security, legal, or operational risk;
- payment is lawfully due and remains unpaid;
- we are required to do so by law; or
- the relevant Service is discontinued.
Where appropriate, we may give notice and an opportunity to correct a violation. Immediate action may be taken when necessary to protect a person, the community, or the Services.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination — including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, responsibility for misuse, dispute terms, and accrued payment obligations — will survive.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.
Before filing a legal claim, you and Write 2 Heal agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally. Send a written notice describing the issue and requested resolution to info@thewrite2heal.com. Either party may seek urgent relief when needed to prevent immediate harm or protect rights.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, legal proceedings concerning these Terms or the Services may be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Nothing in this section prevents either party from using an eligible small-claims court.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, law, safety practices, or business operations. We will post the revised version and update the date above. If a material change affects an ongoing paid Service or registered account, we will provide reasonable additional notice when required.
Your continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.
22. General terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any terms displayed for a specific purchase, booking, event, or program form the agreement between you and Write 2 Heal concerning the Services.
If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without written permission. We may transfer these Terms as part of a lawful reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the Services.
Headings are for convenience and do not limit the meaning of a provision.
